President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State聽on his fresh term in office.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, who succeeded late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, was sworn-in Monday, February 24, 2025, in Akure, Ondo State capital.

President Tinubu urged him to use his overwhelming mandate to serve the good people of the state and build on the legacy of his illustrious predecessor, the late Governor Akeredolu, by expanding economic opportunities, reducing poverty, improving security, and providing critical infrastructure.

Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy Monday in a statement quoted President Tinubu to have said: “I congratulate you on your successful inauguration today (February 24, 2025) for a new term of office after an outstanding run in the last governorship election in Ondo State.

“You have a rare privilege to succeed your illustrious predecessor, who worked for the growth and development of the state and advanced the progress of Nigeria as a whole.鈥�

The Nigerian leader said: 鈥淗aving been sworn in today for a fresh term in office, I urge you to work in the best interest of the people of the state and our country as a whole.
