Connectivity: NCC, IXPN move to advance digital economy, local content development

As part of its continued industry-wide engagement with key stakeholders towards an improved communication and telecoms sector regulatory environment in the country, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has played host to members of the Board of the Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN).

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ reports the NCC, in a recent message via its verified social media account, disclosed that the Management, led by Dr. Aminu Maida, Executive Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO), used the occasion of the IXPN Board’s visit to “discuss strategies for advancing Nigeria’s digital economy.â€

The telecoms sector regulatory Commission also noted: “Key focus included strengthening Internet connectivity and promoting local content development for digital inclusion.
