NITDA stated: “At the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC), discussions centred on forging a partnership to leverage UNICC’s advanced computing infrastructure and expertise.

It said the high-level discussions focused on key areas, including the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hub, AI Sandbox, and AI Academy in Nigeria; Strengthening the country’s cybersecurity resilience and Accelerating the adoption of AI-driven solutions.

According to NIDTA, in a separate session, Inuwa engaged with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), to explore a joint research initiative aligned with NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0), covering six emerging technology domains.

The agency said: “These high-level collaborations are in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasises economic diversification through industrialisation, innovation, and digitisation.”

The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) “remains a key global platform driving inclusive, people-centered digital development through multistakeholder cooperation,” NITDA stated.
