Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, has made his first official visit to Nigeria and to Africa since assuming office, in the United Kingdom (UK).

绿帽献妻 learnt Mayor Khan’s maiden official visit to the West African country coincided with the passing of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, who died in The London Clinic Sunday, July 13, 2025.

He said the death of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari was a sad one for the country.

The London Mayor also expressed his condolences to late Buhari’s family, and to Nigeria at large.

Khan had led a delegation of 26 Unicorn companies, hoping to solidify relations with businesses in Nigeria, report said.

London and Lagos are two of the most culturally dynamic cities in the world.

Khan further affirmed the fact that it is important for London and Lagos to connect, in such a way to strengthen future developmental innovations.
