Integrity: Driver returns bag containing $20,000, other valuables at Lagos Airport

In line with the West African country’s national ethos of ‘Good People, Great Nation’, Mr. Emmanuel Eluu, a Nigerian driver conveying passengers from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Terminal II (MMA2), in Ikeja, Lagos, has returned a bag belonging to his passenger, which contained $20,000 (Twenty-Thousand Dollars).

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ reports Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), MMA2 facility managers at the airport, disclosed this development in a statement issued Wednesday, September 1, 2021, in Lagos.

The company said there were also bundles of local currency, jewellery, and other valuables worth millions of Naira the passenger forgot inside the bus.

The statement noted the bag belonged to a prominent Nigerian who had boarded an Arik Air flight from MMA2 to Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, Monday, August 30.

Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited stated: “At about 1510hrs of 30th August, 2021, a black bag that was forgotten inside a coaster bus, used for conveying passengers at the Airside, with the number plate BDG 689 GW, was picked up by the driver of the bus, Mr. Emmanuel Eluu.â€

The bag has since been returned to the owner of the money by operators of the terminal, BASL said.
