Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling 27 model year 2020 GLS450s, GLS580s, GLE350s, GLE450s, AMG C63s, and model year 2021 AMG GLE53s.

The automobile manufacturer said that the seats may have been assembled incorrectly.

The company stated that incorrectly assembled seats may not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

In connection with what to do in correcting the error,  MBUSA noted the dealers would  inspect and repair the seats, as necessary, free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on December 17, 2021, agency report stated.

Affected vehicle owners may contact MBUSA Customer Service on (800) 367-6372.
