With all dismissed individuals in their first enlistments in the American country’s military, the United States (US) Airforce has dismissed 27 active-duty personnel who have refused to get vaccinated against the damaging COVID-19.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ gathered the Airforce Spokesperson Ann Stefanek, who disclosed this development Monday, December 13, 2021, said the discharged officers were the first active-duty US military service members to be removed for failing to comply with the Pentagon’s vaccine mandate.

Stefanek stated the 27 airmen were discharged Friday, December 10 as they had neither been vaccinated against COVID-19 nor did they seek religious or medical exemption for the same.

All dismissed individuals were in their first enlistments, which means they had served less than six years in the Airforce, agency report said.

The Airforce Spokesperson also noted that vaccinations constituted a key factor in all 27 discharges, but misconduct could have been an additional one for some of them.

In regard to the Pentagon’s vaccine mandate, the Airforce had one of the earliest deadlines with all active-duty personnel being required to be vaccinated by November 2.
