Honda recalls 4,346 Accord Sedans, CR-Vs & Hybrids, Ridgelines over faulty seat belt retractor

American Honda Motor Company is recalling 4,346 model year 2021 Accord Sedans, Accord Hybrids, CR-Vs, and Ridgelines, as well as model year 2022 Insight and CR-V Hybrids.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ gathered the automatic locking retractor on the second-row centre seat belt assembly of the affected vehicles may deactivate improperly, which can result in an unsecured child restraint system.

Honda stated that an unsecured child restraint system can increase the risk of injury in a crash, agency report said.

In connection with what to do in rectifying the error, the company noted that dealers would replace the second-row centre seat belt assembly free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Monday, January 17, 2022.
