Disclosing the affected products are not eligible for import from the Asian country in the first place, the United States (US) Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for an uncertain quantity of imported meat and poultry products from China.

The products, according to regulators, are ineligible to import into the US, and this development makes them unfit for human consumption.

The total amount of ineligible product, though is undetermined because the investigation is continuing, agency report said.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions from the consumption of the products thus far.

Meanwhile, as the FSIS has not been able to identify and contact the importers of the unhealthy meat and poultry products, the regulators have note been able to request their recall by the manufacturers.

In connection with what to do in this regard, affected consumers who had purchased these products are urged to not consume them.

Instead, the regulators advised that they should double-bag and discard them to reduce the possibility of animals accessing the products in the country.

绿帽献妻 reports the Food Safety and Inspection Service is an agency of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), is the public health regulatory institution responsible for ensuring that the country鈥檚 commercial supplies of meat, poultry, and egg products are safe, wholesome, and correctly labelled and packaged for human consumption.

It has not been confirmed whether the products were properly heated to control pathogens that affect domestic livestock, report noted.
