In view of the promising performance of the petroleum industry in 2021, an economic expert has lauded the Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited as a morale booster for improved business activities in the New Year.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ gathered Uche Uwaleke, a Professor of Capital Market at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, who gave the commendation in Abuja, FCT, said with the reforms and transformation of the Corporation into a limited liability company, 2022 holds greater prospects for the oil and gas industry in the West African country.

Prof. Uwaleke stated that the challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic early 2020 had pointed to a gloom in the industry in 2021.

He, however, noted that the successful management of the industry, especially the NNPC’s declaration of profit was unprecedented in Nigeria.
