Chrysler recalls Jeep Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee L vehicles over malfunctioning hazard lights

Chrysler is recalling 20 model year 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L vehicles.

The automobile manufacturer said the vehicle’s hazard lights may flash when the brake pedal is applied.

The company also disclosed the flashing hazard lights during braking may cause confusion for other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

In regard to what to do in rectifying the error, Chrysler noted the dealers would update the body control module free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 1, 2022.

Affected vehicle owners may contact Chrysler Customer Service on (800) 853-1403.

Chrysler’s number for this recall is Z41.
