Eld-el-Kabir: Tinubu pays Sallah homage to Buhari in Katsina, reveals choice of APC vice-presidential candidate

In spirit of the festive season, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has paid a Sallah homage to President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ reports President Buhari earlier, had left Abuja, FCT, for his homestead in Daura evening Friday, June 8, 2022, amid tight security.

The President also joined many Muslim faithful for the Eid prayers Saturday morning in Daura.

Asiwaju Tinubu, during the visit, also took the opportunity intimate Buhari with his choice of Kashim Shettima, a former Governor of Borno State, in North-East Nigeria, as his running mate in the 2023 Presidential election.

The ex-Governor of Lagos of Lagos State also addressed reporters in Daura about his decision to select Shettima as the APC vice-presidential candidate.

Shettima is a two-term governor of the Borno State, who also represents Borno Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly (NASS), Abuja.

Hitherto, there had been speculations that Tinubu narrowed his possible presidential running mates to Shettima and Prof. Babagana Zulum, incumbent Governor of Borno State.
