President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the appointment of 10 qualified Nigerians to serve on the Board of Directors of the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI).

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, who disclosed this development in statement issued Friday, November 24, 2023, listed the newly-appointed Nigerians on the MOFI Board are as follows:

(1) Dr. Shamsudeen Usman 鈥� Board Chairman

(2) Dr. Armstrong Ume Takang 鈥� CEO/Managing Director

(3) Mr. Tajudeen Datti Ahmed 鈥� Executive Director, Portfolio Management

(4) Mr. Femi Ogunseinde 鈥� Executive Director, Investment Management

(5) Mrs. Oluwakemi Owonubi 鈥� Executive Director, Risk

(6) Mrs. Fatima Nana Mede 鈥� Non-Executive Director

(7) Mr. Ike Chioke 鈥� Non-Executive Director

(8) Ms. Chantelle Abdul 鈥� Non-Executive Director

(9) Mr. Alheri Nyako 鈥� Non-Executive Director

(10) Mr. Bolaji Rafiu Elelu 鈥� Non-Executive Director

The Presidential media aide said, “Tinubu places a premium on accurate and purposeful performance assessment of both commercial and non-commercial government-owned enterprises, as well as on the consistent attainment of the highest returns possible on all investments made in trust of the Nigerian people.”

The Federal Government noted the President expects “nothing less than the highest level of results-driven performance from this highly experienced and qualified MOFI Board and Management team.”

President appoints 8 Permanent Secretaries

In a related development, President Tinubu Friday, approved the appointment of eight new Permanent Secretaries (Perm Secs) in the Federal Civil Service, following the recently concluded selection process by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

Ngelale, Presidential spokesman, who announced this development in a statement Friday equally said: “President Tinubu anticipates that the new permanent secretaries, having emerged at the top of qualified candidates after a diligent assessment process, will deploy their expertise and competence in the effective execution of the Renewed Hope mandate to revitalise service delivery in all Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in the superceding interest of the Nigerian people.”

The appointees are Ndakayo-Aishetu Gogo, Adeoye Adeleye Ayodeji, Rimi Nura Abba, Bako Deborah Odoh, Omachi Raymond Omenka, Ahmed Dunoma Umar, Watti Tinuke and Ella Nicholas Agbo.
