Markets: Sanwo-Olu launches food agro-hub facility to address inflation, post-harvest losses in Lagos

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has commissioned the newly constructed middle-level food Agro-hub, located at Idi-Oro in Mushin area of the state.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ reports the Lagos State Government (LASG) built the agri-business facility for consumers.

Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Lagos State on New Media, in his verified blogpost Sunday, December 17, 2023, stated: “Mr. Governor is pioneering a new and more modern way of food distribution in Lagos with the commissioning of this middle-level food agro-hub will see to the tackling of problems associated with post-harvest losses, inflation, carbon footprint and traffic congestion.”

3 More food Agro-hubs planned for Ajah, Abule Ado and Agege

Gawat stated the food Agro-hub, which is located  on 6,400 square meters of land, has adequate parking (3,017sqm) space to accommodate trailers and vehicles, and has centralised wet and dry storage areas for bulk buying.

The governor’s New Media aide stated: “Mr. Governor says three more places have been identified to have this exact type of food hub, and work will begin there: Ajah, Abule Ado and Agege.”
