Nissan North America has announced the company鈥檚 is recalling 57,914 model year 2018-2022 LEAF cars.

The automobile manufacturer said damage to the camera harness could cause distortion or loss of the rearview camera display image.

Nissan also noted that a rearview camera that does not properly display an image can reduce the driver’s rear view, increasing the risk of a crash, agency report said.

In regard to what to do in addressing the defect, the company, however, said that the remedy 鈥渋s currently under development.鈥�

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 20, 2024.

Meanwhile, affected vehicle owners may contact Nissan Customer Service on (800) 867-7669, report stated.
