NNPCL affirms ongoing staff recruitment, downtime in job application portal over traffic surge

Currently hiring for multiple positions across various departments of the state oil firm, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has confirmed its readiness to hire more workers.

The NNPCL, in a statement published on the company’s Web site Friday, July 26, 2024, said the recruitment would be for various positions across various departments within the state energy company.

Mr. Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer at NNPCL, stated: “NNPC Limited is pleased to announce that we are currently hiring for multiple positions across various departments.

“We are seeking talented and dedicated individuals to join our team. Visit our careers page for application instructions.”

The company, therefore, NNPCL urged interested applicants to submit their applications through its official Web site at https://careers.nnpcgroup.com.

As regards the reported downtime on the job application portal, the NNPC Limited, in an update posted on its verified X account Friday, the company acknowledged that the portal is currently experiencing downtime due to an “unprecedented” surge in traffic.

ñ earlier checks though confirmed that the company’s corporate Web site was displaying server error messages, the site was later up and running as of the time of filing this report.

“Due to unprecedented traffic to the NNPC Ltd. career page from applicants applying for vacancies, the site is currently experiencing slow load times.

“Our technicians are working diligently to rectify the problem as quickly as possible. Please be assured that the application process deadline remains August 20, 2024,” it stated.

The NNPCL reassured prospective applicants of a transparent and merit-based recruitment process while urging capable and qualified Nigerians to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
