Tinubu departs Abuja for China, to meet with President Xi Jinping, business leaders

*The Nigerian Presidency discloses, while in China, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and hold meetings with the Asian country’s business leaders on the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja, FCT, in Nigeria, for Beijing, in China, on Thursday, August 29, on an official visit.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in a terse statement Thursday, August 29, 2024, disclosed President Tinubu would have a brief layover in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Presidential aide stated Tinubu, while in China, will meet with President Xi Jinping and will hold meetings with Chinese business leaders on the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

President Tinubu will be accompanied by senior government officials on the trip.
