NITDA, JICA to partner on digital training, empowerment for Nigerian women entrepreneurs

In continuation of its efforts at ensuring digital inclusion of the womenfolk in the emerging Nigeria Digital Economy, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have discussed possible areas of collaboration to train women entrepreneurs in the country.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ reports NITDA, in a recent blog note via its verified social media account Friday, November 15, 2024, said Malam Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE, Director-General of the agency, received representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency on a courtesy visit at the NITDA Corporate Headquarters, in Abuja, FCT.

The Information Technology (IT) sector regulatory agency disclosed the purpose of the JICA representatives’ visit to Inuwa was discuss areas of collaboration, and introduce “a new initiative that includes a training programme for Nigerian women entrepreneurs.â€

The agency stated: “This initiative aims to provide them with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to tackle gender inequality, promote mutual learning, and align with the National Digital Gender Inclusion Strategy and the Digital4All initiatives.â€
