Federal Government, KACCIMA laud Dangote for sponsorship of 45th Kano Trade Fair

The Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has said the conglomerate received a torrent of accolades for sponsoring the 45th Edition of the Kano International Trade Fair, which opened in the ancient city last weekend.

The company, which said this Monday, November 25, 2025, in a statement, noted Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Honourable for Minister of Defence, and Alhaji Garba Imam, President of the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KACCIMA), described DIL’s contribution to the Nigerian economy as “enormous”.

Visiting the Dangote pavilion at the Fair, the Minister told participants that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration recognises the role of the private sector was key.

The statement also noted Badaru reaffirmed Federal Government’s commitment to restoring peace and stability, and urged Nigerians to continue supporting the government with prayers while maintaining confidence in the security forces, whose unwavering dedication is crucial to sustaining these achievements.

Alhaji Imam, President of the Chamber, commended the Dangote Group for its support and partnership, stating the company has been consistent in its sponsorship of the annual event.

Speaking to reporters also, Alhaji Sabiu Umar Yola, Director-General of KACCIMA, said: “The relationship between KACCIMA and Dangote has been very supportive and a great partnership.”

Alhaji Yola said the theme for this year was meant to encourage Nigerian consumers to source for other commodities for export instead of crude oil.

The Branding and Corporate Communications Department of the Dangote Group also stated the Trade Fair, Organised by the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KACCIMA) with the theme, “Non-Oil Export for Economic Prosperity”, aligns closely with Dangote Group’s vision of economic diversification.

The Group further assured that it would be present throughout the Trade Fair, which officially opened November 23 to December 7, 2024.

“Nigeria is a powerhouse for non-oil export if it taps into its numerous resources and potentials.

“At Dangote we have demonstrated our non-oil export potentials through our huge investments in sugar, salt, and cement products spread across several African countries,” said Dangote Group.

The company, therefore, urged participants in the event to leverage the opportunity to visit the company’s pavilion, and take advantage of the various products on display, including Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar and Dangote Salt and Dangote Fertiliser.
