The second inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States (US) took place Monday, January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

President Trump took a moment during his inaugural address Monday, to weigh in on one of the more contentious cultural battles in the American country today.

The US ‘Official Policy’ on transgender, by Trump

The new President averred that that it would be the “official policy” of the US government that there are only two genders – male and female, agency report said.

Transgender is a term that describes “a person whose gender identity is different from the sex they were assigned at birth.”

For example, a transgender person who was assigned female at birth may identify as male, a combination of male and female, or neither, a report said.

It is recalled that during last year’s presidential campaign, Trump frequently had condemned policies that allow transgender athletes to compete in women’s sport and increased civil rights protections for transgender individuals.

One of his more effective political adverts hit his opponent Kamala Harris for her past support of gender-affirming care for Federal prisoners.

It was gathered that the Trump administration is likely to take steps to require Federal documents, including passports, to reflect gender assigned at birth and to end all government funding for gender-reassignment surgery, report noted.

At the event in Washington, D.C., as former US Presidents greeted one another in the Capitol Rotunda, so did some of the world’s richest and technology leaders, including Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Sundar Pichai and Elon Musk, who are regarded as the emerging “oligarchs” in the United States.
