NITDA, UNU-EGOV strengthen collaboration for digital innovation, policy-driven initiatives

In line with the agency’s collaborative efforts with both private and public sector organisations for shared development, Malam Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE, Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), recently held a virtual meeting with Prof. Delfina Soares, Director of the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV).

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ reports the Information Technology (IT) sector regulatory agency disclosed Inuwa’s virtual meeting with Prof. Soares was aimed at finalising critical areas of collaboration between NITDA and UNU-EGOV, towards strengthening the partnership between the two organisations.

NITDA stated during the discussion, both leaders emphasised the importance of leveraging research, digital innovation, and policy-driven initiatives to accelerate national development.

Underlining the strategic importance of partnerships and collaborations with other organisations, the Director-General of the agency in connection with the partnership between Nigeria’s Office of the Head of Service of the Federation (OHoSF) and NITDA, averred that they help in achieving shared goals, and bringing visions to life.

According to the NITDA Chief, collaborations underscore the significance of working together to harness the power of digital technology and drive meaningful change in the Nigeria Digital Economy.
