Digital Economy: Nigerian Government explores solutions to e-commerce logistical barriers

The Federal Government is consolidating measures towards the Nigeria Digital Economy agenda for sustainable growth and development.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ reports Dr. ’Bosun Tijani, Honourable Minister for Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, who stated this said stakeholders would work together towards building a stronger foundation for a $1 trillion economy in the West African country.

Tijani, in a recent blog note via his verified social media account, noted: “As we reimagine the operations and efficiency of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), I am looking forward to engaging with stakeholders on February 5th, 2025 at a co-creation session.

The Minister disclosed the theme of the form with the stakeholders, including the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI), National Informational Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and Glovo, is: “Accelerating E-commerce through Digital and Physical Infrastructure Integration”.

He also assured: “Together with industry leaders, policymakers and other stakeholders we will explore solutions to Nigeria’s e-commerce logistical barriers as we work towards a stronger foundation for a $1 trillion economy.â€
