In line with the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) established for the project, the Nigerian Government through the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMCIDE) is implementing Project BRIDGE (Building Resilient Digital Infrastructure for Growth), an initiative aimed at expanding broadband infrastructure across Nigeria.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ reports the Broadband Internet project is being implemented with the deployment of a 90,000km fibre-optic network to enhance connectivity and support economic growth in the country.

Dr. ’Bosun Tijani, Honourable Minister for Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, who said this in a recent blog post, stated that Project BRIDGE would be structured as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

Tijani disclosed the Nigerian Government would partner with a shareholding of about 25 percent but capped at 49 percent in the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) established for the Project.

The Minister also invited industry stakeholders to express interest in partnering towards developing the transformative project.

Tijani stated: “The Ministry hereby invites all private sector parties interested in participating in the SPV to complete our investor consultation form to express interest in partnering towards developing the transformative project.”
