Tinubu restates administration’s commitment to peace, stability in Nigerian economy

*President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reassures Nigerians that his administration will continue to work hard and pray for peace, stability of the West African country

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured Nigerians that he will continue to work hard and pray for peace, stability of the country.

Tinubu, who stated this Friday, March 28, 2025, in an interview with reporters after the Special Juma’ah Prayer session for the country, and commemoration of his 73rd Birthday in the National Mosque, Abuja, FCT, thanked God for the grace of seeing his birthday.

It is noted that President Tinubu turned 73rd March 29 this year.

The Nigerian leader noted the safety and welfare of Nigerians have remained uppermost on his mind and prayer list.

He also stated: “I feel good. I feel happy. I thank the Almighty Allah, who has protected us and continues to answer our prayers.

“We also thank Allah for accepting our worship; that is key and very important to us.”

The President said: “We have prayed for our country. We prayed for the stability and peace of the nation.

“We prayed that Almighty Allah will safeguard our people and all citizens.”

Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, also stated President Tinubu said his watchword remains “hard work and hard prayers.”

Tinubu averred: “The word for all of us is hard work. You work harder, and you pray harder.

“That’s the inspiration I got from today’s sermon.

“We thank God almighty that at this stage, we are still in it and working.”

Dr. Abdulkadir Salman Solagberu (the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate), and other clerics led the special prayers for the nation and the president.

Solaberu assured President Tinubu of continual prayers for his good health, strength and wisdom to steer the affairs of Nigeria.

The renowned Islamic cleric and scholar as well noted that prayers for the peace and stability in Nigeria would herald the citizens’ development and well-being.

In his remarks, Prof. Muhammad Kabir Adam, Imam of the National Mosque, thanked the President and First Lady (Senator) Oluremi Tinubu, for catering to the poor and needy during Ramadan.

Prof. Adam urged Muslims to continue their prayers for the President, the nation, and goodwill toward the poor after Ramadan.

The Imam of the National Mosque added: “Mr. President, Allah is with you, and you will succeed.”

Vice-President, Sen. Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President Sen. Barau Jibrin, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, National Security Adviser (NSA), Ministers, Security Service Chiefs, and some members of the President’s family attended the Jumat last Friday.
