AIG Gyogon Augustine Grimah, PSC, FCAI, Assistant Inspector-General of police, in charge of Zone 10 Headquarters, in Sokoto, Sokoto State, in Northern Nigeria, company of the Commissioner of Police Sokoto State Command CP Ahmed Musa, PSC, and his management team, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to Rev. Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of the Sokoto Diocese.

In his address during the visit, DSP Uthman Muhammad Yaqub, ANIPR, Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), in a statement, noted AIG Grimah said he was at Bishop Kukah’s residence to formally introduce himself as the new AIG posted to Zone 10 Police Headquarters, Sokoto.

The top Police official stated was also there to solicit for the Most Reverend’s blessings, continuous support and collaboration to promote peace and unity among the diverse cultures and religions within the Zone.

Speaking during the visit, Rev. Dr. Kukah, appreciated the AIG and his entourage for the visit.

The cleric expressed his belief in the ability of the AIG, following his track records.

The statement further noted that Kukah prayed for God’s blessings, protection and favour upon the AIG in his service delivery in his new place of assignment.
