*First Bank of Nigeria Limited assures the newly-inaugurated Digital Xperience Centre at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in Enugu State, will operate 24 hours a day, providing digital and physical banking services to consumers

As part of efforts at revolutionising digital banking and consumer experience in the country, First Bank of Nigeria Limited has launched its Digital Xperience Centre (DXC) at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), in Enugu State.

绿帽献妻 reports the FirstBank said the newly-inaugurated digital xperience centre was the sixth fully-automated branch, first of its kind in the South-East region.

The financial institution also disclosed the facility would operate 24 hours a day, providing digital and physical banking services to consumers.

In his address during the launch, Mr. Olusegun Alebiosu, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FirstBank, lauded the longstanding relationship between the bank and the University of Nigeria Nsukka, that has existed for decades.

Alebiosu recalled the University’s authorities generously provided the parcel of land on which the bank’s digital branch is situated.

The FirstBank CEO highlighted the key features of the digital centre to include Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) for account updates, ATM card issuance, and fixed deposit booking.

He noted others features are Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs) for quicker cash dispensing and management; as well as humanoid robots to assist customers with inquiries and transactions.

Speaking at the project unveiling, Prof. Oguejiofor Ujam, Vice-Chancellor of UNN, said First Bank had been a valuable partner to the academic institution.

Prof. Ujam expressed his leadership’s commitment to maintaining this relationship with the bank.

The Vice-Chancellor also stated: 鈥淯NN has been doing business with First Bank for a long time.

“It is an honour that UNN is the first university to get this digital experience in the country.鈥�

In his remarks on the occasion, Mr. Calistus Obetta, Group Executive for Technology, Digital Innovations and Technology Services, described the FB Digital Technology Experience as a blend of digital and physical experiences.

Obetta said: 鈥淲hether you are doing account opening or withdrawal, they can be done without hitches.

“It reflects the dynamics of the era. The banking operations are now available twenty-four hours.鈥�
