MTN, Abia partner on enhanced connectivity, device financing, digital solutions for SMEs

In line with the current administration’s giant leap towards a more connected, innovative, prosperous, and prosperous state, MTN Nigeria Communications Plc is partnering with the Abia State Government to drive digital transformation and economic growth.

ñ reports MTN Nigeria, which disclosed this development during the week, said Dr. Karl Olutokun Toriola, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of the company led a team of the Management to the state to consummate the partnership between the Telco and the state government.

The leading telecoms service provider in the country in a blog post noted Dr. Toriola and Governor (Dr.) Alex Otti of Abia State signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bring Enhanced network coverage, Device financing for civil servants, Digital storefronts for merchants, and Cloud solutions for businesses across the South-East state.

The Telco also stated that the signing ceremony, which held at the Government House in Umuahia, the state capital, had in attendance the Chief Enterprise Business Officer, MTN Nigeria, Lynda Saint-Nwafor; Chief Information Officer, Shoyinka Shodunke; General Manager, Enterprise Business Development, Omotayo O.; Head of SME Segments; and Omowunmi Olatunbosun, among several other official of the Mobile Network Operator (MNO) in Nigeria.

“This partnership is a giant leap towards a more connected, innovative, and prosperous Abia State!” the company further asserted.
