Normalcy has returned to flights in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait.

The development is sequel to United States (US) President Donald Trump’s earlier announcement of Israel-Iran’s agreeing to ceasefire after Iran’s strikes against US bases in Qatar and Iraq, Monday, June 23, 2025.

However, conflict resumed between Israel and Iran Tuesday, as President Trump’s announcement about ceasefire for peace and stability in the volatile region fell flat, agency report said.

It was gathered the US President has insisted on maintaining the agreed ceasefire between the two warring countries, at least for the time being.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ gathered that several Persian Gulf states, amid the consfusing atmosphere, have officially reopened their airspace, and resumed flight operations at some of the world’s busiest airports though with cautious optimism.

Cautious optimism has been described as having a hopeful outlook on a situation while also acknowledging potential difficulties or the possibility of failure. It is said to be a balanced perspective that involves both anticipating a positive outcome while preparing for the possibility of things not going as planned.

The resumption of flight operations in the Gulf states occurred after halting flights when Iran launched air strikes at a US base in Qatar amid the Israel-Iran conflict.

The temporary closure of the airspace in the Gulf states was implemented as a precautionary measure in response to escalating security concerns in the region, state news agencies’ reports said.

The disruptions, however, lasted several hours and resulted in dozens of aircraft diverting from major hub cities Dubai and Doha, according to reports.

In regard to consumer protection, aviation authorities in the affected Gulf states had taken these steps to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and air traffic amid heightened tensions, report stated.

It is also noted the reopening of the airspace signals a return to normal flight operations, with aviation officials emphasising that passenger safety remains their utmost priority.

Airlines and travellers have also been advised to “stay updated” with any further announcements to minimise disruptions.

This move is coming as part of ongoing efforts by Gulf states at carefully managing airspace security while maintaining essential connectivity during a period of regional uncertainty.
