The Coal City Elites Forum (CCEF) has congratulated Governor (Dr.) Peter Ndubisi Mbah of Enugu State, in the South-East region, on the historic launch of Enugu Air.

The state government’s flagship airline is operated under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement with the trade name XeJet.

CCEF is the foremost platform for professionals of Enugu State extraction, who have attained the Directorate cadre in the Federal Public Service in the country.

Dr. Benito Eze, mni, President of the Forum, in a recent statement, said the bold and visionary initiative in the aviation sector represented a landmark achievement鈥攏ot only for Ndi Enugu State, but for the entire South-East region, and Nigeria as a whole.

Eze noted: “By establishing a state-backed airline, the Mbah administration has demonstrated a clear commitment to innovation, economic diversification, and infrastructure-led development consistent with his transformative leadership.”

The CCEF also commended the state government’s strategic move, set to unlock vast its potential in the aviation and tourism sectors, boost regional connectivity, and enhance cultural and economic exchanges across Nigeria and beyond.

“Enugu Air is poised to catalyse job creation, attract investment, and serve as a powerful engine for inclusive and sustainable socio-economic growth in the State,” stated the Forum.

It further said: “Governor Mbah鈥檚 leadership continues to reflect foresight, purpose and dynamism, charting a bold path toward a globally competitive Enugu State.

“The CCEF, under the leadership of Dr. Benito Eze (President) and Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde (Chairman, Board of Trustees), and Mr. Leo Anigbo (Pioneer President) reaffirms its unwavering support for policies and projects that promote excellence, innovation, and the collective advancement of Ndi Enugu.”

The as well noted that the state’s most recent breakthrough, alongside many of Mbah’s infrastructural development projects, is set to place Enugu on the enviable trajectory of sustainable long-term development.

Eze added: “We urge all stakeholders to support this transformative development and work together to consolidate the gains it promises to deliver.
