Mazda boosts auto sales by 11 percent, set to resume production amid virus crisis

In spite of the recent record spikes in confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus disease in a number of states in the United States of America (USA), Mazda North America says it plans to resume full production at its assembly plants August 2020.

Report says that the auto manufacturing firm made the decision, in part, because of the increased demand for its products June 2020, as it recorded a sales increase of nearly 11 percent.

It was gathered that the automaker cites increased demand for its three-row CX-9 and MX-5 roadster, with sales volumes growing approximately 50 percent and 25 percent, respectively recently.

Incidentally, in a Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) tally compiled by Johns Hopkins University, the US as Friday, July 24 recorded 4,057,100 confirmed cases, with 144,524 total deaths, according to report.
