As a statutory requirement for all vehicles plying the Nigerian roads to ensure safety of lives and property, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), again, has urged the motorists鈥� use of speed limiting devices in their vehicles.

Corps Commandant Salisu Galadunci, Rivers State Sector Commander of FRSC, disclosed this Saturday, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, at a meeting with the state chapter of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union of NUPENG.

It was gathered Commandant Galadunci charged articulated vehicle drivers involved in lifting of petroleum products to install speed limiting device in their vehicles.

The device, he said, would help check road accidents which in most cases lead to product spillages, fire outbreaks and loss of lives.

The Sector Commander of FRSC stated: 鈥淪ince the overall cost on lifting petroleum products is very high, it is therefore, pertinent to ensure that the products as well as the drivers are safely delivered.鈥�
