FRSC commends Nigerian Army on human capital development

As regards the provision of adequate  training platforms for officers and men of the agency for enhanced efficiency and productivity, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commended the Nigerian Army (NA) for its support to enhanced capacity development  of the Corps.

Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, Corps Marshal of the FRSC made  the commendation Thursday,  November 18, 2021, during a courtesy call on Lieutenant-General Faruk Yahaya, Nigerian Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at the Army Headquarters, in Abuja, FCT.

Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director Army Public Relations, in a statement noted Dr. Oyeyemi expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Army for providing adequate  training platforms for officers and men of Corps.

The FRSC Corps Marshal was quoted to have stated that the gesture has repositioned the Corps in the discharge of its constitutional roles in the country.

According to Oyeyemi, over 200 personnel of the Corps are currently undergoing Basic Driving Techniques Course at the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport, Benin, Edo State.

He commended the COAS for approving the use of military infrastructure across formations and units of the Nigerian Army for training of FRSC personnel.

The statement further said: “Dr. Oyeyemi expressed satisfaction over the compliance of Nigerian Army personnel to (with) traffic rules and regulations, which he said has made the organisation’s work easier.â€

In his remarks during the visit, Lieutenant-General Yahaya also appreciated the Corps Marshal and his team for the visit to the Army Headquarters in Abuja.

The COAS assured that the Nigerian Army “is ever ready to support and collaborate with other agencies in consonance with his vision to have, “a professional Nigerian Army, ready to Accomplish Assigned Missions Within a Joint Environment in Defence of Nigeria.â€

The COAS also extolled the Corps Marshall for his efforts at minimising accidents on Nigerian roads, stated the Director of Army Public Relations.
