Asiwaju (Sen.) Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader and 2023 presidential candidate of the Nigerian ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has travelled out of the country to France.

A statement by Mr. Tunde Rahman issued from the Media Office of Asiwaju Tinubu Monday noted the APC presidential flagbearer travelled early聽 June 27, after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in the Presidential Villa, in Abuja, FCT.

Rahman said in the statement: 鈥淗e is off to Paris, France to hold some important meetings, the APC standard bearer is expected back in the country before Sallah celebration.”

According to the media aide, before Tinubu’s departure from Nigeria, he had attended the public presentation of a book entitled, 鈥淢r. Speaker鈥�, and launch of legislative mentoring initiative in commemoration of the 60th birthday of Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of House Representatives,

Recall Tinubu emerged as the presidential candidate of the party June 8 at the party鈥檚 presidential primary and special convention for the APC February 25, 2023, presidential election.

It was also gathered the erstwhile Lagos State Governor, since his emergence as his party’s presidential candidate, has embarked on a series of ‘thank-you’ and reconciliation visits to those who contested against him at the party鈥檚 primaries.

This included the seven aspirants who stepped down for him, agency report stated.

Meanwhile, the APC Buhari campaign office located in the Abuja Central Area had been redesigned and renamed Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Campaign Office by the party鈥檚 leadership ahead of the electioneering, report said.
