Why we suspend new York-Lagos flights: Delta Airlines

Delta Airlines has disclosed why the international aviation firm announced the suspension of its New York-Lagos direct flights.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ reports the airline, in a statement, hinted its decision is informed by the need to fit the current demand environment.

Delta Airlines with the headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States (US), however l, said it would continue to operate its Lagos and Atlanta route.

The statement also noted: “Delta is suspending its nonstop service between New York-JFK and Lagos to fit the current demand environment.

“The airline continues to operate service between Lagos and Atlanta and offers connections to New York and other cities across the United States.”

The airline further stated that “customers impacted by our suspended New York-JFK to Lagos service will be re-accommodated on Delta-operated flights or services operated by our joint venture partners.

“Delta remains committed to the Nigeria market.â€
