Tech Innovation: NITDA, iHatch celebrate winners of Startup Incubation Programme

In line with its ongoing efforts at driving innovation and entrepreneurship in Nigeria, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has collaborated with the Japanese Embassy in the country to celebrate the winners of iHatch Startup Incubation Programme Cohort III.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ reports the Information Technology (IT) sector regulatory agency, which disclosed this development via its verified social media account, said Malam Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE, Director-General of NITDA, was joined by Mr. Kazuyoshi Matsunaga, Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria, to celebrate the winners of iHatch Startup Incubation Programme Cohort III.

The programme is a collaborative initiative between NITDA and the Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA).

In regard to the importance of iHatch Startup Incubation Programme Cohort III to Nigerians, NITDA stated: “This partnership is a significant stride in our ongoing efforts to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in Nigeria.â€

The agency also noted that it aligns with “NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0) pillars of Forge Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration; and Nurture an Innovative and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem.â€

It said: “In line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration’s priority area of Accelerating Diversification through Industrialisation, Digitisation, Creative Arts, Manufacturing and Innovation, iHatch programme is fostering a thriving ecosystem for startups, empowering the next generation of tech innovators in Nigeria.â€
