Federal Government will renovate NCC’s damaged Digital Innovation Park in Kano –Minister

The Federal Government has said it is fully set for renovation of the Nigerian Communications Commission’s (NCC) Digital Innovation Park damaged during the last #EndBadGovernance protests that held August 2024 across the country.

ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ reports Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Honourable Minister for Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, stated this Tuesday, October 15, 2024, via a blog note.

The Minister said: “I am pleased to announce that we have received the support of IHS Towers who have committed to the full renovation of the Nigerian Communications Commission Digital Innovation Park in Kano which was unfortunately vandalised a few months ago.”

He equally explained that he was in Kano Monday, October 15 to witness firsthand the current state of the Park.

Tijani stated: “I am pleased that we can now move quickly to restore the facility for the benefit of our citizens.

These including our 3MTT Nigeria fellows, who were meant to use the space for their applied and hands on learning.”

In regard to the Ministry’s hashtag#3MTT community in Kano, the Minister emphasised the participants, together with several young people across Nigeria, represent the future of the global digital workforce, and their dreams and aspirations are valid.

He remarked during the visit: “It was a pleasure to meet you all and hear some of your inspiring stories.

“I also want to thank the Kano State Government, under the leadership of the Executive Governor, H.E. Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for the warm welcome and their continued support for our efforts.”
