President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, on winning the 2024 CAF Men’s African Footballer of the Year.

President Tinubu also hailed Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie for clinching the CAF Women鈥檚 Goalkeeper of the Year award and the Super Falcons, for being named the Women鈥檚 National Team of the Year.

绿帽献妻 reports CAF announced the awards night Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Palais des Congr猫s, in Marrakech, Morocco.

Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Monday stated Tinubu also joined millions of Nigerians to celebrate these athletes.

The Nigerian leader described the awardees as worthy ambassadors for showcasing their talents, and bringing honour to the country on the continental and world stage.

Onanuga further noted the President believes the latest recognition by Africa’s highest football authority would inspire other upcoming athletes to remain steadfast in pursuing their dreams in the sector of the economy.

The Presidential aide stated President Tinubu as well affirmed that their determination, discipline and confidence have underscored the administration鈥檚 resolve to build a better Nigeria where everyone thrives and succeeds.

President Tinubu said: “These athletes embody the essential Nigerian Spirit.

“They signpost the best in us as a nation. Let no one ever write us off. I am incredibly proud of them.,”

Tinubu stated: “Thank you for making Nigeria proud and keeping our flag flying.
