Safety: Air Peace issues update on airplane incident at Port-Harcourt Airport

The Management of Air Peace have all the passengers aboard the company’s flight Sunday, July 13, 2025, from Lagos to Port-Harcourt, in Rivers State, were safely evacuated.

ñ reports the affected Air Peace jet had skidded off the runway Sunday morning after landing at Port-Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, in Rivers State.

It was also gathered that the aviation incident occurred after the airline’s flight P47190 had landed at the airport but the passengers were evacuated to safety.

Passengers evacuated ‘without any injury’

In an update after the incident, Air Peace affirmed that the incident said the passengers were disembarked “safely and calmly” without any injury.

Osifo-Whiskey Efe, Spokesperson of the indigenous airline, in a statement, said: “Air Peace confirms that its Flight P47190, operating from Lagos to Port-Harcourt this morning, had a runway excursion after landing safely at the Port Harcourt International Airport.

“The aircraft veered slightly off the runway without any damage.”

The aviation firm stated: “All passengers disembarked safely and calmly, and no injuries were reported.

“We reassure the flying public of our unflinching commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety in all our operations.”
